the painted trees, the memories,
why can't i see,
their faces through the dust?
curl up, girl.
Can't you see the boy?
He's there, sweating indifference
like makeup slapped on too thick.
the edges of him are running
its blood beneath my toes.
the corners of his eyes-they do not smile
anymore.
i feel him through the back of my head.
my hair hides those stolen glances.
what.
too cold. who can be so cold?
so dead and barren, limp. who?
it can't be true...i see the light within
burn up the dust.
throw them away, those faces,
expressions you do not need.
they serve no true purpose...
i want to see inside, in a way only God truly can!!! its frustrating me so much... blarby blarby blar. why do people fence themselves up so much, so easily? i myself am guilty. but why? i want to tear it all away... the walls, the guarded expressions, the attitudes they lay about like guard dogs, to protect their hearts. its annoying. really.
